The Jr. Angler Tournament, established in 1991, promotes the participation of youthful fishermen in a sporting event which encourages conservation of marine life and awareness of the necessity to protect our natural resources.
Jr. Angler Captain’s Meeting: Monday July 19th at 7:30 PM.
Jr. Angler Awards Ceremony: Saturday July 24th 3:00 PM
REGISTRATION:
Registration Fee $10.00
Registration ends at 7:30 PM on Monday July 19th
The Captain must be registered in the General Tournament to
participate in the Jr. Angler Tournament.
Junior Angler Seminars
The GJKT, in association with Fish Florida proud to announce the continuation of the Junior Angler seminar program for 2009. Seminars will begin at 1:00 pm on Saturday. Topics include: fishing the water column, lure selection, tackle selection, fish fighting techniques, bait selection, and casting as well as general fishing techniques. Every Junior Angler attending a seminar will receive a fishing rod and reel.
Captain Don Dingman, of television Hook the Future, will be back for 2009 as the Junior Angler Announcer. Capt. Dingman is an acclaimed, full-time offshore and inshore professional angler and fishing guide. He has led kids to nine Junior IFGA world records!
